وتجدر الإشارة إلي أن أهمية القرار في المنظمة تزداد ونطاق شموله يتسع كلما إرتفع مستوى السلطة الإدارية التي تتخذ القرار داخل الهيكل التنظيمي للمنظمة، ومن الأهمية بمكان أن نفرق بين من يتخذ القرار وبين من يسهم في إتخاذ القرار، فمتخذ القرار يجب أن يملك السلطة الإدارية التي تعطيه الحق في إتخاذ قرارات في حدود معينة. بيد أن ذلك لا يعني أن ينفرد متخذ القرار في جميع الأحوال باتخاذ القرار، بل هناك الكثيرون في المنظمة من الممكن أن يساعدوه علي إتخاذ القرار المناسب.
