والمبتكرون في إتخاذ القرارات هم أولئك الذين يعملون دائماً على صياغة الأولويات، وتكون لديهم قدرة واضحة على صياغة القرارات ذات الأثر البعيد المدى، وهو يتعمدون أن يتخذوا هذه النوعية من القرارات.
وصناعة خريطة الأداء الصحيحة لحل المشكلات، تسهل إتخاذ القرارات الصحيحة، ولكن تصميم مثل هذه الخرائط لا تكفيها الخبرة الطويلة كما يعتقد البعض، ولكنها تحتاج إلى الإبتكار، فإستخدام الخرائط القديمة في منطقة تغيرت ملامحها تماماً لن يجدي بل يجعلك تائهاً وحائراً ومستهلكاً للكثير من الوقت والجهد.
وكما يبدو من العرض السابق إننا محاصرون بالعديد من المشكلات، فالتغيير والتطوير والتحديث يصاحبه الكثير منها. ومن الخطأ أن نترك أساليبنا القديمة تعمل الآن لمواجهة ما يستجد من مشكلات. إننا في حاجة إلى إستخدام نظم وبرامج جديدة أيضاً في تناولنا لمشكلات إتخاذنا للقرارات.
وإعداد هذه النظم والبرامج تحتاج إلى عقول مبتكرة وقادرة على استيعاب الجديد وعدم إهمال الماضي. وفي هذا الكتاب نحاول أن نتعاون معك لتحقيق هذه المهمة الصعبة، ولكن يكفينا المحاولة الجادة والتى ندعو الله أن يكللها بالنجاح في إخراج هذا الكتاب لنسهم مع الآخرين في تدعيم المكتبة العربية بمنهج حديث في مجال حل المشكلات وإتخاذ القرار.
