هذه مجموعة روائية للمؤلف رمسيس لبيب الذي بدأ الكتابة الأدبية منذ عام 1919م بنشر قصصه القصيرة في مجلة الكاتب وجريدة المساء والجمعهرية ثم تنشر أولى مجموعاته القصصية "الحب فوق مستطيل الضوء الشاحب" عام 1972م ، وكتب في مقدمتها "أنه يرى الكتابة رحلة إقتحام لهموم ومشكلات وأشواق الإنسان في وطن الكاتب وعصره" وأن على الكاتب أن ينحاز إلى القوى التي يكون في انتصارها "انتصار للإنسان".
وقد يجد البعض أن الكثير من قصصه ورواياته تندرج في الواقعية التقليدية، إلا أن تعدد مستويات تطور المجتمع المصري وتنوع قضاياه ما زال يسمح لكل ألوان التعبير الأدبي بالوجود والتأثير.
