هذا الكتاب في أصله رسالة ماجستير، تسلط الضوء على فقه العبادات للأسرى في سجون الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، من طهارة وصلاة وصيام وزكاة وحج، وعلى فقه الأحوال الشخصية، من أحكام الزواج والطلاق، والميراث والوصية، وكذلك الأحكام المتعلقة بالأسير نفسه كالإضراب عن الطعام. ثم تبين واجب الأمة تجاه الأسرى بفدائهم وتحريرهم، والعناية بعائلاتهم وغير ذلك.
وقد اتبع الباحث أسلوب البحث العلمي، ودرس المسائل دراسة فقهية مقارنة، معتمداً على الأدلة من الكتاب والسنة، ومسترشداً بما قرره فقهاء الأمة، ومرجحاً ما يُرجحه الدليل.
