"شجرة ليمون في القلب" كتاب شعر من ترجمة "سعدي يوسف" ومن تأليف الشاعر اليوغسلافي "فاسكوبويا" يضم قصائد ترجمت من اللغة الإنكليزية، وهي مختارات من أربع مجموعات شعرية متتابعة الزمن.
لفاسكو بابو وسائله المتميزة، وأسلوبه الخاص، "... فهي يعطي الإنطباع بأنه يعرف جيداً كل تلك الحضارة المتراكمة على هيئة فرضيات، لكأنه أعاد عرض التاريخ، فيلماً، عدة مرات، على نفسه، لكنه في الوقت نفسه قد عرّى شعره من كل استحواذ روحي أو ذهني. إن شعره لا ينوء بالحقائق، ويستبعد الإفتراضات والمفاهيم المسبقة (...) إن قصائده تحاول أن تستكشف ما هو موجود، وأن تعرف ما هي الظروف حقاً (...)".
يضم هذا الكتاب أربعة مجموعات شعرية جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: المجموعة الأولى (نباح 1952)، المجموعة الثانية (الأرض منتصبة 1965). المجموعة الثالثة (الحقل المضطرب 1956)، المجموعة الرابعة والأخيرة (سماء ثانوية 1968) ومنها نقتبس قصيدة له بعنوان: [أغنية الحقيقة الشابة] يقول فيها:
"كانت الحقيقة تغنّي، في العتمة / في أعلى شجرة الليمون / بأعماق القلب / قالت أن الشمس ستنضج / في أعلى شجرة الليمون / بأعماق القلب / إذا غمرتها العينان بنورهما (...) كانت العيون / مأخوذة بالعتمة، في الخارج / ولم تر شيئاً".
