يعتبر هذا الكتاب الأول من نوعه في الأردن الذي يتناول بشكل متكامل جميع أقسام الإقتصاد الدولي. وقد قسم المؤلف الكتاب الى أربعة عشر فصلا، تناول المؤلف في بدايته تقديم موجز في التجارة والإقتصاد الدولي. وفي الفصل الثاني تحدث المؤلف عن موضوع نظرية الميزة النسبية الكلاسيكية. وفي الفصل الثالث موضوع نظرية التجارة الدولية في ظل تزايد التكاليف. أما في الفصل الرابع فتحدث عن موضوع نظرية الوفرة النسبية في عوامل الإنتاج . بينما تحدث في الفصل الخامس عن موضوع الأساليب النظرية الحديثة في التجارة الدولية . وفي الفصل السادس موضوع السياسات التجارية الدولية . أما في الفصل السابع فتحدث المؤلف عن موضوع السياسة التجارية في حالة الدولة الكبيرة ومظاهر الفشل السوقي . وفي الفصل الثامن جاء موضوع الجدل الإقتصادي حول مزايا وعيوب الحماية التجارية . وفي الفصل التاسع جاء موضوع التكامل الإقتصادي . بينما في الفصل العاشر تحدث عن الإتفاقية العامة للتجارة والترفة الجمركية (الجات) . أما في الفصل الحادي عشر فتناول موضوع ميزان المدفوعات . وفي الفصل الثاني عشر تحدث المؤلف عن أسواق الصرف الأجنبي . أما في الفصل الثالث عشر فتحدث عن تأثير التجارة الدولية على الدخل القومي.أما في الفصل الرابع عشر والأخير فتحدث عن موضوع التجارة الخارجية للأردن .
