لقد أودعتُ في هذا الكتاب حبي الكبير لـ(فلسطين) وطني السليب، وجعلته يحتضن حنيني لبلدة (حمامة) مسقط رأسي، وكيف لا و(حمامة) هي ابنة آلهة الإغريق القديمة، وأهاليها هم من جعلوها وادي حمى لجيوش صلاح الدين حينما كان يهاجم آخر معاقل الصليبيين في عسقلان الخالدة، كما واستظل فيها أيضًا الفلسطينيون الأوائل أصحاب الممالك الخمس الذين أتوا بالحضارة من خلف البحر، فكانوا أول من أدخل الحديد إلى (فلسطين)، وأصبحوا عنصر القوة لأهلها من أحفاد اليبوسيين والعموريين والكنعانيين أهل تلك الأرض الحقيقيون.
في كتابي هذا أودعتُ عتابًا على أمتنا العربية التي صارت عن جهل تعتنق عقيدة الإقليمية، وتجعلها دينًا وحياة حتى أضحت كلمة عربي لا تعني شيئًا. لقد حاولت من خلال هذه السيرة المتواضعة لإنسان عادي أن أُري القارئ كيف يُحاكي الإنسان الفلسطيني الواقع الذي فرض عليه منذ عام 1948م."
