لقد أثبتت التجربة البشرية عبر سنين متطاولة أن الملائكة كانوا محقّين في توجّسهم حين قالوا لله (عزّ وجلّ) يوم أخبرهم عن إرادته جعل خليقة له في الأرض يومها: ﴿أَتَجْعَلُ فِيهَا مَنْ يُفْسِدُ فِيهَا وَيَسْفِكُ الدِّمَاءَ﴾.
وبعد ذلك بفترة لا يعلمها إلا الله تعالى بدأت البشرية تفعل ما كانت تخشاه الملائكة يوم عزم أحد ابني آدم على التخلّص من أخيه حسداً له وبغياً عليه، وقد كان الأخ المظلوم بين خيارين أحدهما المواجهة والمقابلة بالمثل، والثاني الصبر والتسليم لأمر الله تعالى، وربّما لم يكن لديه خيارٌ ثالثٌ بأن يمنعه من قتله أو ربّما لم يكن يصدّق أنّ يداً يمكن أن تمتد إلى أختها فتقطعها.
وتحوّل ابنا آدم إلى أمثولة للأجيال وسوف يبقيان كذلك إلى أن يرث الله عزّ وجلّ الأرض ومن عليها، و"اهتدى" بعض الناس بــ "هدي" الظالم، واقتبس قلّة من الخلق أخلاق المظلوم... ورأى فريقٌ ثالثٌ أن الحلّ الذي اعتمده الأخ القتيل مثاليٌّ من جهة وشخصيٌّ من جهة ثانية؛ ولأجل ذلك لا يمكن تحويله إلى قاعدة إجتماعيّة تسير عليها الأمم والشعوب؛ وبالتالي الخيار الأسلم هو تقنين الحرب وإضفاء مسحة أخلاقيّة عليها للتقليل من سفك الدماء.
