من لا يعرف الخياط مسعود؟ فهو ماهر في مهنته، يتقن عمله فيرضي نفسه وزبائنه. إلا أنه ثرثار أحياناً، دائم الحركة،... فوضوي التصرف، تتناثر الأزرار والإبر وبكرات الخياطة في مشغلة هنا وهناك.
اليوم هو موعد استلام السيد سليم والسيد هادي لبدلتيهما، فهما مدعوان لقضاء سهرةٍ عامرة مع الأصدقاء.
لاحظ سليم أن بدلته ضيقة، ليست على مقاسه، وكذلك تنبه هادي أن بدلته واسعة وكأنها خيطت لرجل ضخم عريض المنكبين.
التقى الرجلان في الحفل سكتا لحظة، أخذتهما الدهشة، فعرفا على الفور أن الخياط مسعوداً تاه في الفوضى على عادته، فبعث بالثياب على العنوان الخطأ، تقبل هادي وسليم الأمر بروح مرحة فخلع كل واحد منهما بدلته وتبادلا البدل قائلين: "سامحك الله، يا معلم مسعود، متى تتخلص من التلبك والعجلة؟..."
"الخياط مسعود" –حكاية ممتعة تعلم الأولاد أنه لا يجوز أن نسيء معاملة الآخرين، وأنه من غير اللائق أن نضيع وقت غيرنا، وأن ننظم عملنا ونحترم مواعيدنا، كي لا تصبح حالنا كحال هذا الخياط الفوضوي.
