ويؤكد الكتاب بشكل دائم على أهمية اعتماد الصين على ذاتها فى تطوير صناعتها التحويلية، مع الإيمان بأن ما تمتلكه الدول الصناعية الكبرى صاحبة التسويق لفكرة العولمة لن يصير ملكاً للعالم دون الاعتماد على القدرات الذاتية للدول، وفى عبارة مختصرة، يضع الكتاب نصب عينيه الوضع العالمى للصناعات التحويلية، ويرسم الطريق للصين كى تجد لنفسها موضع قدم وسط ظروف دولية شديدة التشابك والتعقيد والاستفادة مما حققته الصين بالفعل من انجازات فى مجالات عدة، والنظر إلى الوضع الراهن للصناعات الصينية برؤية ناقدة تساعد على استشراف ملامح المستقبل. ويؤكد الكتاب على ضرورة أن تملك الصين حقوق الملكية الأصلية للمنتجات وأن يكون لديها براءات اختراع أصليه وسلاسل منتجات ذات جودة عالمية وأن يتم الدمج بين المؤسسات الصناعية الصينية عن العشوائية والانتاج الفردى أو المتكرر...
وما أشد حاجتنا نحن أهل اللغة العربية إلى ما يحتويه الكتاب من معلومات وأفكار ملهمة يكفل لنا تنفيذها التخلص من براهن التدهور التى ترزخ تحت وطئتها مجتماعتنا العربية، وخاصة أن صاحبة التجربة دولة كانت تنتمى إلى معسكر الدول النامية التى ذاقت مرار الاستعمار وهيمنة الدول الغربية لفترات طويلة وحتى وقت ليس ببعيد ولكنها استطاعت ان تنهض وتحدد طريقها نحو التقدم . واعتقد أنه أولى بنا أن ننقل عن الصين تجربتها فى النهضة الصناعية، وذلك لقرب المسافة بيننا وبينها.
