بفعل الهوة بين ما يجب ان يكون وما كان بالفعل الهوة التى صنعاها الكبار ابتداء بسلطة العائلة انتهاء بسلطة الدولة المتشظية وقد توزعت إلى "كانتونات" وميليشات مسلحة، الهوة التى انتجت الفوشى لتصبح الثابت الوحيد تلك الهوة : كشفت العديد من الانكسارات والأوهام وفجرت المكبوت بكل مستوياته الشخصية والاجتماعية والفكرية والوجدانية ليصبح هذا العمل - في جوهره هو المعادل الروائي للحرب الأهلية اللبنانية إذ تتعامل - برهافة حادة- مع احداثيات التوتر الاجتماعي إبان تلك الفترة من منتصف السبعينيات وحتى منتصف الثمانينيات حيث تتكشف حقائق ناصعة القسوة من حدث لحدث ومن حوار لحوار ومن صمت لصمت مؤشرة للتماهى المبين للتفسخ العام والخاص بحيث نتساءل- طوال الوقت : أيهما أنجز الآخر؟ ولن نجد إجابة حاسمة كعادة الأعمال الإبداعية الكبيرة التى تتركنا في معمعة أسئلة تتوالد. إن الرواية هذه اذ توجعنا ونحن نشهد تلك الانهيارات الصغيرة التى تكبر ككرة الثلج لتشكل انهيارا : لوطن ما فانما لتدعونا بداهة إلى الثورة الداخلية على كل الأقانيم الزائفة للبحث عن هواء جديد لا يصلح لتربية التوحش والضياع والإحباط وهو ما حدث لشخوص الرواية جمعيا وليس علينا ان نلومهم إذا مارسوا تمردا ولو مبالغة فيه - على اخلاق وهمية لمجتمع فقد مصداقته كبناء وسياج للفرح ولم يورثهم في النهاية إلا الجنون والعدم وفقدان المعنى.
