ليست جدلية المعرفيّ والأيديولوجي في الفكر العربي المعاصر مبسّطة، بحيث تتبيّن صور اشتغالها لِوَعْيِ القارئ فيها بيُسر، وإنما هي مركّبة، وتحتاج - بالتالي - إلى قراءة تركيبية، تتوسّل مناهج وأدوات متعددة لفك الترابط في علاقاتها وإدراكها؛ والتشديد على هذه الطبيعة المركّبة في الجدلية تلك هي ما كانت حاضرة بقوة في هذا الكتاب، وبمقدار يوازي، كانت العناية بتبديد النظرة المعيارية إلى كلّ من المعرفة والأيديولوجيا.
