استطاعت هذه المناقشات ان تؤتي ثمارها بين رواد المقهى ، فهذا حميدو مثلا الذي يعمل في إصلاح السيارات، كان كثير الشجار حتى داخل مقهى "سندباد" ذاته يفرض سطوته هناك . تراكم حسابه عن مشروباته ، وكان المعلم جودة يطالبه به دون جدوى، وعندما التقى بالشيخ محمد تغير تدريجيا. حدثت بينهما في إحدى المرات مناقشة عن الرياضة في الاسلام، فأخبره السيخ أن الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم حث المسلمين على تعلم السباحة والرماية وركوب الخيل، وأنه كان قوى الجسم قام بغزواته كلها بعد ان تجاوز الخمسين من عمره. وفي مرة تحداه مصارع اسمه ركانة وقبل سيدنا محمد عليه السلام التحدي رغم كبر سنة واستطاع الانتصار عليه. وفوجئ الشيخ بحميدو يهتف قائلا: صلوا على أجدع نبي!!
