شخصيات هذه القصة تتوارى خجلاً، لأنها مرهقة، بل مقهورة.. مسلوبة القدرة، ففي أعماقها تمتزج السخرية بالشجن، ويلتقي الانكسار بالحلم، فتطفو فوق رماد السؤال، لتتسول الرغبة والبحث عن وجود، وتتعاطى الوعي، فيأتي الغروب بالليل الطويل، ويجلدها بعذابات الوحشة، لكي تضمر المشاكسة في وضح النهار(!!!)، وتنفض عن نفسها شبهة البوح بالانتماء والأمل، إذ ربما تقنع بأن الحياة نقطة تبهت على مرفأ الألوان ومتكأ الوهم.
ربما يكون موقع هذه المجموعة بين حدين، التجريب وعدم التخلي عن موروث الحكي، لكنها -وهي ترتاد أفقاً تجريبياً بالعزف على تنويعات الحداثة- لا تتخلى عن مسئولياتها تجاه المجتمع، مع أنها تستسلم لإغراءات اللغة وجمالياتها التي تعلن أن الإبداع لغة، فتتوجه للقارئ العام والقارئ المتخصص، أملاً في التواصل الفني معهما.
