هذه رواية يكتنفها الغموض! أو هكذا معظم القراء العارفين بأعمال "بلانشوت" الروائية. والغموض هنا يعد من أهم العوامل التي تحرك هذه الرواية وتكشف أسرارها، فهو عبارة عن تأثير لا متناهي، ممزوجاً بحالة من الحذر. تعد" عمانداب Amindab " الرواية الثانية للروائي الفرنسي " Blanchot "، والتي نشرت في عام 1942م. وقد كتب لها الظهور بعد عام واحد فقط من صدور النسخة الأولى من روايته الأولى "توماس الغامض". وباستثناء روايته الأولى -التي طبعت في فرنسا- فإن "عمانداب" ليست إلا آخر أعمال بلانشوت الروائية التي ترجمت للغة الإنجليزية، ومثل ذلك بالنسبة للقارئ الإنجليزي إمكانية في البحث والتعمق في كامل أعمال بلانشوت الإبداعية تقريباً. لكن الميزة الرائعة التي يمتاز بها هذا العمل الأدبي هو التحول من سياق الرواية إلى ما اسماه بلانشوت لاحقاً "الأسلوب القصصي " وهو مصطلح يصعب ترجمته، ولكن غموضه يفي بالغرض في حالة "القصص"، وهذه الأعمال اللاحقة لن تصبغ بصبغته بشكل كبير. وفي حين لا تخلو تماماً من الميزات التي تشبه الشخصيات والأحداث، إلا أن الرواية تستغني تدريجياً عن جميع الأساليب السردية المعروفة، وتميل باستمرار نحو الاختفاء الغريب للصوت الذي يفضي بهم.
