مخطط يفوح من طياته عبق دمشق القديمة ببيوتاتها التي تتحدث من خلال صورها عن فن العمارة وفن الحياة لهؤلاء الذين رحلوا مخلّفين وراءهم حجارة ناطقة وشجراً باسقاً وشمساً في فن العمارة الإسلامية والذوق الشرقي ساطعاً عبر الأيام، وبمساجدها التي ما زال صوت مؤذنيها يردد أصوات هؤلاء الذين كانوا يتناوبون على عمارتها، وبكنائسها التي تردد بأصوات أجراسها وقع الماضي وبأسواقها التي عجت بروادها وما زالت، وبأزقتها وحواريها، بقلاعها وحصونها، وخاناتها، بمعالمها المعمارية كله.
دمشق، حاضرة الزمان، ما زالت رهن السمع والبصر، يحدث عنها هذا المخطط الذي جسد المهندس من خلال صوره، ومخططه الهندسي المتقن، دمشق القديمة بروعة فنها المعمارية الإسلامي القديم. وقد شمل هذا المخطط: المعالم المعمارية والبيوت حيث شملت المعالم المعمارية مئة وثمانية وعشرون معلماً حضارياً توزعت بين المساجد والمآذن والقلاع والأبواب، والخانات والمدارس والزوايا والمقامات والكناس والحمامات والأقواس. وشملت البيوت تسع وسبعون بيتاً من بيوتات عائلات دمشق العريقة. وجاء المخطط بقياس تقريبي 2000/1، وهو يتيح لمقتنيه استعماله كدليل سياحي أثري لمعالم دمشق القديمة.
