وينتظم الكتاب في ثلاثة عشر فصلًا، تناولت العناصر الرئيسية في قراءة وتحليل الأدبيات التي اعتمدت عليها خلال الفترة الزمنية موضع الدراسة. كما لم يفت الكاتب في خاتمة الكتاب أن يعرض ويحلل ويقيم مستقبل التطور السياسي والديمقراطي في مصر في ضوء نتائج أول انتخابات رئاسية تعددية.
