ويتابع الخضيري قائلاً: يتضمن هذا الكتاب بعض ما كتبت خلال العشرين عاماً الماضية، منها ما هو جيد ومنها لا بأس به، بل كل ما كتبت ضرباً من الخيال، ولن أقول لكم إنه لا يمت للواقع بصلة، بل أعتذر منكم لتقصيري في نقل الواقع إلى حروف".
