نشأ في جدة متزوج ولديه بنت وولد واحد, له الكثير من المؤلفات في مجال كتب الاطفال تتجاوز الـ 300 كتاب.
كان رئيساً لتحرير مجلة حسن للاطفال التي تصدر عن جريدة عكاظ وحالياً يعمل رئيساً لصحيفة السلطة الرابعة.
له العديد من المؤلفات في الإسلام السياسي منها: تقويم الفكر الديني المتمرد على الإسلام 2009 م اصلاح الفكر الديني أولاً 2006 م الاستبداد عند خير أمة اخرجت للناس 2007م الاصلاح السياسي هدف الامر بالمعروف والنهي عن المنكر 2005 م قالوها في الحارة ( مجموعة امثال حجازية ) الفلكلور السعودي المصور .

كان المسلمون في عصر النبوة ثم في عهد الخلفاء الراشدين ينعمون بحكم إسلامي يطبق القيم السياسية الإسلامية التي تصلح لكل زمان ومكان وهي: الشورى، الحرية، العدالة، المساواة.
إلا أن الأنظمة السياسية اللاحقة تركت تلك القيم وطردتها من الحياة السياسية في العالم الإسلامي ابتداء من عام 41 للهجرة حينما استولى بنو أمية على الحكم وفرضوا الأحكام العرفية الاستبدادية على المسلمين ومنذ ذلك الوقت وحتى الآن يعيش المواطنون في البلاد الإسلامية حياة العبودية لأن السيوف مسوطة على رقابهم والسجون مفتوحة لاستقبالهم من غير محاكمات في أي لحظة، وأصبح رفع المصاحف شعاراً للحكام المسلمين لا يهام شعوبهم بأنهم يحكمون بما أنزل الله، ولكنهم لا يحكمون بالكتاب والسنة، ولا يحكمون أيضاً بالقوانين التي وضعوها بأنفسهم، فهم يلفقون التهم للمواطنين ويفرضون على القضاء الذي يخضع لسيطرتهم إصدار أحكام جائزة بحقوق دعاة الإصلاح السياسي لإرهابهم اقتداء بأسلافهم من الحكام المستبدين الذين كانوا يقتلون معارضيهم ويلقون برؤوسهم في أحضان أقرب الناس إليهم، أو يقطعون أطراف الذين يشكون في ولائهم السياسي ويلقونها في أتون نيران الأفران وهم ينظرون إليها ومع كل ذلك يدعون بأنهم خير أمة أخرجت للناس ولا يستحون!!
