إنَّ كتاب أعمال القلوبِ والجوارحِ هي من روائع كُتْبِ الإمام المحاسبي ( رحمه الله) ؛ لكونها قد مزَجَ فيها روعة َالكلماتِ ما بين الفقهِ، والتفسير ، واللغة امخاطباً بها الروح ؛إذ كانتْ عَصارِةُ جهدِهِ لسنوات طويلة ٍمن فكرِ، وعِلمِ، وثباتِ على منهجِ القرآن الكريم، والسُنَّة النبوية الشريفة ، وعندما تقرأُ الكتابَ بِتمعنٍ تلاحظُ بِوضوحٍ أنَّهُ قد ركّزَ على مفهومِ القلبِ والجوارحِ وعلاقتهما ببعض عندِ المؤمِن في العبادةِ سالِكاً طريق القلْبِ قبلُ العقلِ والنفس والجوارح.
والمفهوم قَد رسم بوضوح طاعةٍ المؤمنين بالتَفويضِ، والتوكلِ على ربِّ العبادِ برؤيا جديدة بعيدةٍ عن مفهومِ العقلِ الذي تمثل عِنْدَ الفلاسفةِ طريقُ لإدراك الحقائق؛ لأن القلبُ أعمق مفهوماً عند المؤمنين وهو طريقُ نجاةٍ من هلاك النفس والعقل؛ لذا نَجدُ أنَّ هاجسَ الخشوعِ في القلب يَلتزمُ به المؤمن القاصدُ مفهوم منهج الإمام المحاسبي (رحمهُ الله ) منذ قراءة السطور الأولى في الكتابِ ولا يخفى بما قد جاءَتْ بهِ الكلماتٍ من معانٍ معطرّةٍ ببلاغةِ القرآن الكريمِ ووعظِ وسَردُ الأحاديثُ.
