ولد سنة 1970، بمدينة آسفي.
حاصل على إجازة في الأدب الإنجليزي من جامعة القاضي عياض بمراكش، ودبلوم كلية علوم التربية من جامعة محمد الخامس بالرباط.
يشتغل أستاذا للغة الأنجليزية بالتعليم الثانوي.
التحق باتحاد كتاب المغرب سنة 1994.
عضو جمعية الغارة الشعرية.
ينشر كتاباته بمجلات: المدى، أدب ونقد، الاغتراب الأدبي، الآداب، آفاق.
يشرف على إعداد وتقديم البرنامج الثقافي "مشارف" الذي يبثه التلفزيون المغربي (القناة الأولى) بوتيرة أسبوعية منذ العام 2006.
مع العِلم أن الشاعر يشتغل في مجال الصحافة الثقافية منذ عقدين من الزمن، حيث الذي سبق له أن ساهم في إطلاق مجلة أدبية من مراكش سنة 1991 تحت عنوان "أصوات معاصرة" قبل أن يشكل رفقة سعد سرحان ورشيد نيني وطه عدنان جماعة "الغارة الشعرية" التي اعتُبِرت تكتلا للحساسية الشعرية الجديدة في المغرب خلال التسعينيات.

حينما كنت صغيراً وجميلاً كنت أتخيل العود فرساً بأجنحة من ريح, كنت دوماً أحلم باليوم الذي تصير لي فيه آلة عود أنا الآخر, عود أختلي به وأداعب أوتاره وأسافر عبره في أعالي الروح, كنت أحب البيانو أيضاً, لكن العود للصبيان والبيانو للصبايا, البيانو يحتاج أنامل رقيقة وروحاً أرق, لذا كلما رأيت رجلاً يعزف علي البيانو فكرت أنه مثلي جنسياً فأتوقف عن متابعة عزفه لأتخيله في أوضاع مخجلة, أما عازف العود حينما يتسلطن ويفجر من الأوتار عيوناً نضاحة من ماء الموسيقي الزلال, فهو يتوحد بآلته, يهزها هزاً ويتوغل فيها ليطلق المزيد من الريح والأجنحة.
