يهدف هذا الكتاب إلى التعريف بالنّظام الفلسفيّ للحكيم الكبير صدر الدين الشيرازي، فأصحابُ النُظُم الفلسفيّة، لم يتكفّلوا القيام ببيان نُظُمهم الفلسفيّة، بل ذكروا العديد من النظريّات في مُختلف كتبهم ضمن تنظيم وتنسيق أوّلي، دون القيام بعمليّة تمييز بين القضايا التي تُشكّل أساساً في نظامهم الفلسفيّ وبين سائر القضايا والمسائل، وتحدِّد دورها في البُنيَةَ الفلسفيّة لهذا النظام.
وأكثر ما يَهتمُ به هؤلاء هو إثبات المدّعيَات الفلسفيّة، وقليلاً ما يتعرّضون لتوضيح أصل تلك المُدّعيَات، وينظرُ هؤلاء إلى فئةٍ خاصّة من المُخاطبين؛ أي من كان منهم من أصحاب الرأي، ممّن لهم إطلاع فلسفيّ واسع، ولهم إطلاع على الآراء المشهورة في كلِّ مسألة وطريق إثباتها أو نفيها، بنحو يكون من الميسّر لهؤلاء الوصول إلى فهم صحيح لها يساعدهم على تصوّر النظام الفلسفيّ المُتبنّى، دون غيرهم من المُخاطَبين.
ولذا، بمُلاحظة هذا الأمر، لا بدّ، لمن يُريد التعرّض لبيان نظامهم الفلسفيّ، من أنْ يَتمكّن أوّلاً من الفصل بين المسائل الرئيسة التي هي قِوامُ نظامهم: وبين المسائل الفرعيّة، وثانياً: من حذف المسائل الفرعيّة، وثالثاً: من تحديد العلاقة بين المسائل الرئيسيّة وتحديد أهميّة كلّ مسألة منها ليَستبينَ من خلال ذلك طريقة البناء الرئيسيّة للنظام؛ ورابعاً، أنْ يكون ما هو أولى بالإهتمام بيان المُدّعيَات، لينطلق بعد ذلك لإثباتها او نفيها، وخامساً، أنْ يَلحظ المُخاطب ولو كان من غير أصحاب الرأي، وهذا ما تقصده من الحديث عن النظام الفلسفي لمدرسة الحكمة المتعالية.
