إن ما دفع المؤلف "إبراهيم علي السيد علي عيسى" إلى اختيار موضوع دراسته هذه هو حرصه على تعريف المسلمين بفضائل القرآن الكريم وسوره، وحثّهم على الاجتهاد في تلاوته وتدبر العمل به، وكذلك تنبيههم من الغفلة-باللهو وزخارف الحياة-إلى علو منزلة القرآن الكريم ورفعة مكانة قرائه. أما منهجه في تدوين الدراسة فيتجلى بـ: أولاً قيامه بجمع الأحاديث، والآثار الواردة في فضال سور القرآن الكريم من كتب السنة الأصلية، الصحاح، والسنن، والمسانيد، والمصنفات، والمعاجم، ومن الكتب التي صنفت في فضائل القرآن الكريم خاصة. ثانياً: فصله الأحاديث المقبولة والتي تشمل الصحيحة الحسنة والمعتبر بها عن الأحاديث شديدة الضعف والموضوعة، وجعل لكل نوع باباً مستقلاً. ثالثاً: جمعه كل الأحاديث والآثار المقبولة التي تؤدي معناً واحداً وجعل لها عنواناً مناسباً. رابعاً: ذكره متن الحديث والرمادي الأعلى فقط في أعلى الصفحة. خامساً: قام بتخريج الأحاديث والآثار من كتب السنة الأصلية ودوّن مقدمة لتخريج كل حديث، ذكره فيها من أخرج الحديث، واسم الكتاب والباب والجزء والصفحة، ورقم الحديث إن وجد. سادساً: توضيحه لمعنى الحديث إن احتوى على ألفاظ غريبة، أو معان مستغلقة. سابعاً: ترتيبه الكتب في التخريج على الأصحية، مقدماً الكتب الستة، ثم مسند الإمام أحمد، ثم من اشتراط الصحة... ثامناً: شرحه معنى غريب اللفظ.
