فكان الاستهلال في الفصل الأول بإعطاء صورة عامة عما تهدف إليه الدراسات والبحوث مع تسليط الضوء على مفاهيم بعض المفاصل المرتبطة بالعمل البحثي. وتضمن الفصل الثاني تحديداً احتياجات البحث إلى المعطيات وكيفية وضعها في استبانة أخصائية مع تناول أسلوب تصميم الاستبانة وشروط صياغة أسئلتها في.
تم تحديد عدد الاستبانات اللازم ملئها المتمثلة بتحديد حجم العينة ونوع العينة المطلوب تطبيقها وأسلوب الاختيار لوحداتها وكيفية تعميم نتائج العينة على المجتمع الكلي ولكل نوع من العينات التي استخدامها وهو ما تم تناوله في الفصل الثالث.
تم العروض إلى الفصل الرابع ليتم فيه تناول أسلوب تدقيق ما يتم جمعه من معطيات وكيفية التأكد من صحتها، وإلى أسلوب معالجة ما هو مفقود وغير مكتمل في هذه المعطيات لنكون جاهزين لمرحلة التحليل.
تلى ذلك الانغماس في مرحلة التحليل بدءاً من الوصف والتفسير وأدواته وأسلوبه في الفصل الخامس ولغاية بناء النماذج الإحصائية المتقدمة، وأسلوب تحليل حساسيتها وكيفية استخدامها عملياً في التخطيط واتخاذ القرارات وهو ما تضمنه الفصل السادس.
وفي الفصل السابع تم عرض أسلوب جديد قديم في بناء النماذج، يتمثل بدمج أداتين لتصبح واحدة، وهو موضوع جديد في إمكانية تطبيقه، قديم في طرحه لطول عملياته التحليله آنذاك أي قبل التوسع باستخدام الحاسوب وقبل تيسيرات برنامج SPSS إلا أنه ظل محدود التطبيق تهيباً من الجديد وخوفاً من المجهول.
لننتهي في الفصل الأخير بموضوع حيوي بحاجة استخدامه دائماً في كافة المجالات وهو الاختبارات بما في ذلك تحليل التباين، ليكون موضوع الفصل الثامن.
