هذا الكتاب "نور ظلام" يحوي بين دفتيه كل نور يأمر به الله سبحانه وتعالى وكل ظلام ينهي عنه جل ذكره. مع العلم بأن الله عظمت قدرته هو نور محض والشيطان هو ظلام دامس. وهو صراع بين الخير، والشر، وعراك بين الحلال والحرام، وحرب بين الإيمان والكفر.
وهو يبرز الخطيئة بأبشع صورها والفضيلة بأبهى حللها، ويبين الدروب التي تؤدي إلى ارتكاب الخطايا والطرق التي تؤدي إلى اقتناء الفضائل، فينشر عبير هذه الفضائل ويظهر الروائح النتنة المنبعثة من هذه الخطايا. وهو يرشد إلى الطرق المختلفة التي يجب على المرء سلوكها لعمل الخير وللبعد عن فعل الشر. ويمهد الطريق السليم والمستقيم الذي يتحتم السير فيه للنجاة من عقاب الله وللدخول، في الآخرة إلى جناته السماوية.
ويبين أن التعلق الزائد بأمور هذا العالم المظلم الزائل يؤدي إلى الشقاء على وجه هذه الأرض وإلى الاكتواء بنار جهنم في اليوم الأخير. ويؤكد أن الزهد في هذه الدنيا والتعلق بحبال السماء ومحبة الله سبحانه وتعالى تمتع الإنسان بالسعادة الحقيقية على هذه البسيطة والهناء في السماء الخالدة.
وهو ثمرة لقراءات المؤلف ولاستيعابه للكتب السماوية ولعدد كبير من الكتب الدينية والروحية. وقد توخى فيه إفادة القارئ مهما كان دينه أو مذهبه لأنه لا يفرق بين دين وآخر وبين إنسان وآخر لأن الله المحب الرؤوف الرحيم هو لجميه الناس وليس لفئة واحدة.
