وقد سعت هذه الدراسة إلي إبراز الآداء التي حاولت أن تحدد البعد الزماني والمكاني لفكرة الجنة، ومناقشة بعض الرويات والآراء وأسانيدها الآثارية والجغرافية والتاريخية والتي وإن اختلفت في تحديد مكان الجنة لكنها اتفقت علي شيوع فكرة الخلود في الجنة وفي الخيال الأسطوري والديني الذي تتبعناه في كثير من الأساطير والملاحم لكثير من حضارات الشرق القديم.
