أخترت هذا للون من الأدب حبا فيه ، ورغبة في الكتابة عنه ، فجاء ما كتبت اشباعا لما أجد في نفسي ، واستجابة لما يهفو اليه قلبي ، ذلك لايماني عن يقين ، أن الأدب المسرحي منذ عرفته البشرية ، كان وسيظل ، منبر اشعاع فكري ، وأداة توجيه وتثقيف ن ففيه تنمية للروح القومي ، وفيه حل لشتي مشكلاتنا الأجتماعية ، وفيه من معاني التضحية بالنفس من اجل الواجب ، ما هو كفيل بالأخذ بيد الجماهير الي خير ما نرجو لهم ، ولوطننا من مجد ورفعة .
وهذا البحث كتبته - بعد رحلة طويلة مع المسرح العالمي ، ومع مسرح ( شوقي ) ونقاده - آملا أن يحظي هذا المجال بالنقد الهادف البناء ، من كبار نقادنا ، ليحدث أثره البالغ في نفوس الشعراء .
