"ضجرت من ثرثرة الرجل الذي طالما حدثني قصصاً وحكايا لا تروق لي، وتجلب الضيق والملل إلى روحي، فغالباً ما يقضي وقتاً طويلاً يسرد لي قصة مسلسل مصري شاهده أيام مراهقته، أو قصص زملائه العشاق وزميلاته في العمل والنساء اللواتى يهاتفنه، ويسألني في كل نهاية حديث له عن أهلي وصديقاتي وأطفالهن والجيران وحتى أولئك الذين يمرون في الشارع.
أدينه بالثرثرة ويدينني بالهدوء.. في المرة الأخيرة حشوت أذني قطناً قبل أن ألقاه وجالسته مبتهجة بالهدوء وراحة البال، وعلى الرغم من شفاهه المتحركة بسرعة عجيبة، لم أسمع كلمة واحدة، كنت أردد فقط كلمات عامة مثل: أكيد.. ربما! لطيف.. جميل، لا بأس!
وكنت ألمح بين اللحظة وأختها شفتين تنفرجان في ضحكة عريضة وكنت في داخلي أكاد أنفجر ضحكاً.
الغبي، لقد انطلقن عليه اللعبة!
سعدت كثيراً بخداعي له، هذا درس قاس، لعله ينفعه ويكف عن الثرثرة.
حين وصلت البيت انفرطت كالمسبحة من الضحك، أزحت القطن من أذني فسمعت رنين الهاتف، رفعت السماع فجاءني صوته الفرح: لقد كان منظرك يا عزيزتي مضحكاً جداً وأنت تتلفظين كلماتك المقتضبة، آه، يسعدني أن أقول لك إنني لقنتك اليوم درساً لن تنسيه حتى آخر عمرك من أجل هدوئك الذي يجلب إلى روحي الضيق والملل، إذ كنت أحرك شفتي فقط، حتى لا أزعجك، وكنت تردين كالبلهاء، فبدأ منظرك كالمهرج. أيتها الغبية، لقد انطلت عليك اللعبة تماماً!
