مر العالم باقتصاد الفقاعة عدة مرات، فهو اقتصاد المضاربات العنيفة الساحقة الماحقة، والتي أوجدت كوارث رهيبة مدمرة، وأوجدت أحداثًا مؤلمة، اجتاحت الملايين من البشر، وفي كل مري يقع العالم في الكبوة لينهض منها من جديد،... مر بهذا الاقتصاد كأزمة مهددة للنمو والتراكم الاقتصادي... أي أنها أزمة عامة جارفة، انزلق إليها بإرادته، بل سعى إليها راغبًا فيها، تجذبه أطماع الملايين السهلة من الأموال، لكنها ليست ككل الأزمات، فهي أزمة متجددة ما أن تخبو فترة حتى تعود نيرانها المستعرة متأججة من جديده، وبصوره أشد.
لقد استند عدد كبير من مخططي وصانعي هذه الأزمات إلى حداثة القطاع الاقتصادي الذي حدثت فيه الأزمة، وعدم وجود رقابة فعالة من جانب الدولة على هذا القطاع، وإلى الحرية الكاملة التي يتمتع بها الداخل إليه، والخارج منه، وعدم وجود قوانين ضابطة وحاكمة للاستثمار والمضاربة في هذا النشاط، وإلى واعديه العائد الضخم المتولد عن حركة المضاربة الدائرة فيه، وإلى ترحيب الأفراد بالاستثمار في هذا النشاط، وإلى الشغف الكبير والتفاؤل الشديد الذي يتمتعون به، نتيجة ما يحققونه من أرباح كبيرة.
إن هناك قواعد وقوانين تحكم الاقتصاد الحقيقي، وهو ما يجعل الاقتصاد في مأمن إذا ما تبع هذه القوانين، وبالتالي يبتعد عن اقتصاد المضاربة والمقامرة Gambbling، وهو ما يجعل الاقتصاد في مأمن من مخاطرها بالغة القسوة... ومن آثارها الشديدة، ومن نتائجها التي تفاقمت بشدة وبسرعة....
إن هذه النتائج المتصاعدة هي التي أدت إلى هذا الانهيار الاقتصادي المتسع، والذي أصاب الاقتصاد عقب انفجار الفقاعة الاقتصادية، مسببًا آلام بالغة القسوة على من فقد أمواله فيها.
