أصدر الشاعر محمد أبو المجد ديوانه الثانى فقط يعوزه الحزن ، بعد فترة توقف امتدت لسنوات طويلة ورغم اختلاف طبيعة الكتابة الشعرية فى كلا الديوانين الأول تفعيلي، والثانى قصيدة نثر ، إلا أن الديوان الثانى كان يحمل مفاجأة سارة لصاحبه؛ لأنه وإن لم يصدر عن خبرة كتابة فى قصيدة النثر، إلا أنه خرج إلى الوجود نتيجة امتلاك خبرة قرائية عالية، مكنت الشاعر من تمثل هذا النمط من الكتابة، حتى بات ينتمى إليه ثقافيا لقد تمكن الشاعر من الإفادة من النماذج السابقة، ومن مجمل تجارب الآخرين، ليبتدئ من حيث انتهوا وهكذا يمكن أن ينطبق عليه المثل السائر سكت دهراً، ونطق شعراً.
