يتضمن هذا الكتاب ثلاثة أبواب، الباب الأول: ويشتمل على فصلين يعالجان الأوراق المالية من أسهم وسندات وأوراق مالية مبتكرة مثل الإختيار. والصكوك التي تعطي الحق في شراء أسهم المنشأة من تاريخ لاحق. الباب الثاني: ويتكون أيضاً من فصلين يعرضان لصناديق الإستثمار التي تؤسسها شركات الإستثمار. وذلك بوصفها أدارة إستثمارية فعالة. على الأخص في المجتمعات التي ينخفض فيها متوسطة الغدخار للفرد أو الأسرة. وأخيراً يتكون الباب الثالث: من فصلين، يتناولان كيفية بناء محفظة الإستثمار. وإستراتيجيات المستثمر الصغير. وعلى الرغم من أن محتويات هذا الباب تنصرف إلى محفظة المصرف التجاري نظراً لتنوع محتوياتها بشكل يجعلها بشكل يجعلها مثالاً أكثر شمولاً. إلا أن ماورد بشأنها يمكن أن يحتذي بها كبار المستثمرين من الأفراد والمؤسسات المالية الأخرى. كما يمكن أن يستفيد من مستشاري الإستثمار الذين يبيعون خدماتهم للمستثمرين قليلي الخبرة والمعرفة بأسواق رأس المال.
ولعل القارئ يدرك بوضوح أن محتويات الكتاب تنسجم إنسجاماً لا خلاف عليه. بشكل يجد فيه كل قارئ ضالته أو قدراً معقولاً منها. فرجل الشارع الذي يرغب في أخذ فكرة عامة عن أدوات الإستثمار. قد تجذبه محتويات الفصول الاربعة الاولى. وصغار المستثمرين قد يجدون في صناديق الإستثمار التي يتناولها الفصلان الثالث والرابع. وما يناسب مدخراتهم المحدودة. أما كبار المستثمرين فقد يجدون في الفصلين الخامس والسادس مايساعدهم على بناء محفظة استثمار.
