هذا الكتاب هو آخر ما وضعه (أحمد بن عبد الرحمن بن السلطان علوي) عن شيخ الطريقة الشاذلية السيد ( محمد بن احمد ولادته بن أبي بكر) وقد جمع فيه ما استطاع عن الفقيه. فنجد فيه ذكر ولادته ونسبه الشريف و كذلك ذكر زوجاته ووفاة أبيه "أيضا نجد اسفاره وبعض الأخبار عن طريقته وبعض كراماته. يذكر المؤلف مع ما يذكر اعتراض للشيخ فاضل عليه وجوابه. لا يتوقف عند هذا وحسب إنما يعرض أقواله و بعض شمائله واأخلاقه وبناءه الزواية وغيرها من الأقوال والأفعال التى تدور في فلك حياة الشيخ الفقيه.
