ولد آلان باديو بالرباط (المغرب) في 17 جانفي 1937. ويعتبر اليوم أحد أشهر الفلاسفة الفرنسيين وأبرزهم، وقد كتب أيضا روايات ومسرحيات عديدة، وهو إضافة إلى ذلك مناضل سياسي، يصنّف ضمن أقصى اليسار، وقد درّس الفلسفة بالجامعات الفرنسية وبعدّة معاهد وكليات.. من أعماله الفلسفية: نظرية التناقض 1975- الكائن والحدث 1982 - بيان الفلسفة 1989 -العدد والأعداد 1990 -بيان الفلسفة الثاني 2009-02-15 وله عدّة أنشطة في مجال البحث الفلسفيّ والأدبيّ.

كانت المذبحة الجماعية والعشوائية، التي وقعت يوم (13 تشرين الثاني / نوفمبر 2015م) في باريس؛ عملاً إجرامياً عُدَّ الأكثر دموية في فرنسا منذ الحرب العالمية الثانية، وقد أعلنت (داعش) مسؤوليتها عن الإعتداء.
كتب آلان باديو كتاباً حزيناً في طرحه، يُفكّك وينتقد الخطاب الإعلامي والسياسي الذي انتشر بعد هجمات باريس، لقد كان الطرح المركزي للرجل واضحاً؛ هناك بنية تتحكّم في العالم نتجت عن هيمنة رأس المال الذي تجاوز أفق الدولة، لكي يخلق مناطق كبرى تُدار بمنطق العصابات، أقلية تملك كلّ شيء، وطبقة وسطى تتقاسم الفتات، وحشود هائلة من البشر لا مكان لها في العالم.
إنّ المذبحة ليست "حدثاً" بالمعنى العميق للكلمة؛ إنها إكتمال لما ينمو بشكل طبيعي في عالم كهذا على شكل حقد وكراهية ناجمين عن حبِّ محبطٍ للمثال نفسه؛ "المتعة الإستهلاكية" داخل عالم لا يسمح إلا لقلّة أن تبلغ هذا المبتغى العام للآلة الرأسمالية.
هدفنا من تقديم أطروحة باديو للقارئ العربي ليس إتفاقاً مع كل تفصيلاتها، ولا موافقةً على البدائل "الطوبائية" التي يُلمح إليها؛ بل إسماع لصوت متفرّد قوي في ساحة لم تعد تحتمل الإختلاف والتميّز، ولا ترضى حاجزاً بين تفسير الظواهر وتبريرها.
