تحت إلحاح الرغبة في فهم سائر إستعمالات مصطلح "اليسار" واكتناه أسرار إنبثاقه وتشكله تياراً فلسفياً سياسياً تغييرياً عابراً للأفكار والأمكنة والتاريخ، ودوره في تصنيف الرؤى السياسيّة، في المجتمعات التي يطغى فيها مفهوم "المواطنة" على الإنتماءات الأولية تصنيفاً واقعاً مبرماً بين "اليمين" و"اليسار" حاولنا رسم شروط ولادة هذا الفكر، النظريّة والعينية وتطوره، سعياً لفهم قوامه وجوهره، وتوفير جملة من ؟أدوات التحليل لقراءة الواقع ونقده، والسعي إلى التأثير فيه.
لم نكتف بالتنزه البحثي المعرفي في ردهات التاريخ، بل اخترنا تحليل بعض المقولات اليسارية على ضوء ما نشهد ونختبر ونعاني ونحلم ونشتهي.
من وحي هذه الجولة الفكرية انطلقنا لنرسم صورة إفتراضية لليساري المعاصر، الذي يتمثل المفاهيم والمقولات اليسارية، ولا يتردد في تفكيكها وإعادة ترتيبها، مستلهماً من مخزونها ما يعنيه على قراءة الوقائع والمتغيّرات، متجرأ على مناقشة أدوات تحليله وتكييفها مع الموضوعات قيد التحليل والسبر، والإستعانة، بالروحية ذاتها، بأخرى، تفي بالغرض.
افترضنا مجموعة من الأسئلة التي تراوده والتي نراها جوهرية، دون أن تكون الوحيدة والتي قد تعني كل فرد مهموم بالشؤون العامة، وبقضايا العدالة والتقدم.
كما افترضنا، ولأنه مجبول بالسؤال والجدل والقلق، ومحكوم بالأمل والثقة بالمستقبل وبالإنسان، أن "اليساري المعاصر" ينفر من الإنغلاق والتحجر والإقامة بين دفتّيْ كتاب، بل إنه مهجوس ببناء رؤيته إستناداً إلى الواقع المتحول والنابض، دون المساومة على الحقيقة.
