Book Description
هنري فالنتاين ميلر (1891- 1980)، روائي ورسام أمريكي، نشأ في نيويورك، وعاش شبابه في باريس، منها سنوات برفقة صديقته الروائية أنايس نيَن بشكل بوهيمي حتى إندلاع الحرب العالمية الثانية، حيث تُعتبر سنوات إقامته في باريس الأخصب بالنسب لإبداعاته الأدبية، عاد بعدها إلى الولايات المتحدة، وعاش ما تبقى من حياته فيها.
عُرف عنه كسر القوالب الأدبية التقليدية، وطوّر نوعاً جديداً من الرواية دمج فيه السيرة الذاتية والنقد الإجتماعي، الذي تنعكس فيه الفلسفة والعلاقات السريالية الحرة مع الروحانيات التي تعبّر عن الحياة الحقيقية؛ من أشهر أعماله؛ ثلاثية الصلب الوردي، مدار السرطان، مدار الجدي، ربيع أسود.
إن الضفيرة "بلكسوس" هي الجزء الجوهري من ثلاثية الصلب الوردي: الجزء الذي يحتوي على الوصف الأكمل لقيم هنري ميلر الأساسية ومعتقداته وأراءه وأحكامه، في وقت كتابته لـ"الصلب الوردي" وفيما بعد حين أنهى الثلاثية؛ إن الضفيرة "بلكسوس"، هذا الجزء يحتوي على العواطف والأفكار والرؤى والكوابيس عن الإنسان والمجتمع في القرن العشرين وعن دور الفن كصلة ربما، أو كملاذ للروح، وهو الكتاب الأكثر إدهاشاً الذي سبق أن قرأته في كثير من السنوات.
ليس هناك موضوع في العالم لا يعرف عنه ميلر ولا يريد أن يتحدث عنه أو يُقيّمه بحكمته العميقة، إنه على الأرجح الأكثر ثقافة بين الكتّاب الأمريكيين كلهم، والأكثر إنفتاحاً على الأفكار والمشاعر، ونعم الأكثر تبجيلاً من مظاهر الحياة كلها وكذلك الناطق الأدبي الأكثر نقداً لزمننا.
