آدم عليه السلام نزل على الجبل الأخضر، تلك حقيقة لا يمكن لأحد إنكارها بعد اليوم، يجزم بذلك البروفيسور سالم الكندي عالِم الأنثروبولوجيا المعروف دولياً ، وكان يُجهّز الدلائل العلمية لإثبات ذلك الاكتشاف المثير للجدل. لكن يواجه من يسعى لتحطيمه وتدمير مشروعه الخطير ذاك ووأد نشاطه العلمي الخصب، ربما لكونه عربي في المقام الأول ويحاول الخروج عن المألوف. مروة الأردنية الأمريكية، طالبة الماجستير، الجيولوجية، التي وكأنها خرجت من بطن أحلامه القديم لتتجسد حقيقة باذخة الجمال أمامه، كانت الأداة التي أرسلت لتحطيمه كما صدق بذلك في سرّه، فهل وفقت في هدفها أم أن البروفيسور كان له رأي آخر رغم استسلام روحه لها. رواية "كهف آدم" تحكي تاريخ عُمان الجيولوجي الكبير والقديم، كما تحكي صراع الانسان المستمر بينه وبين نفسه فيما يريد أن يعيشه وتتوق له نفسه، وما تمنعه عنه الحواجز التي خلقها حول نفسه عبر السنين.
