في كتابه هذا يسلط الكاتب عبد الجبار السامرائي الضوء على الأطماع الصهيونية التوسعية في البلدان العربية، مستخدما مفردة " التوسع " للدلالة على سعي العدو لاحتلال الأرض العربية الخارجة عن نطاق الأراضي التي أعطيت (للدولة الصهيونية) بموجب توصية الجمعية العامة، في فلسطين والبلاد العربية المجاورة أي أن الكيان الصهيوني لم يكتف - كما يقول الكاتب - بالمساحة التي أعطيت له بموجب قرار التقسيم وهي 7993 ميلاً مربعاً، ويخطط لاحتلال المزيد.
وفي الكتاب أيضا، لم يكتف "السامرائي" بعرض الأطماع الصهيونية في فلسطين فقط، بل عرض للأطماع الصهيونية في الأردن وسوريا ولبنان ومصر والعراق وغيرها.
وفي ختام الكتاب يحث الكاتب العرب على التسلح بالعلم و المعرفة ومغادرة العاطفة، والإتجاه نحو العقل واستلهام قيم الإسلام العظيم وتراق الآباء والأجداد، الذين نشروا النور والمعرفة في أصقاع الشرق والغرب.
