يسعدنا أن نقدم للقارئ بعض الأسرار الشخصية لغاندي، ويعتبر هذا البحث دراسة تحليلية محايدة لشخصية الزعيم غاندي وأعماله والبحث يشتمل على مقدمتين ومبحثين:
المبحث الأول تحدثنا فيه عن الجذور العادائبة بين المسلمين والهندوس- منذ الفتح الإسلامى وحتى الاحتلال الانجليزي لشبه القارة الهندية ثم حصولها على الاستقلال وتقسيمها إلى دولتين الهند وباكستان- لكي نثبت أن الزعيم غاندي لم يكن نبيًا معصومًا من الخطأ كما يعتمد الكثيرون.
المبحث الثاني وهو موضوع بحثنا فتحدثنا فيه عن حياة الزعيم غاندي وأسراره الشخصية مبرزين النزعة الطائفية في شخصيته مما جعله ينحاز دائمًا إلى جانب الهندوس في اشتباكاتهم مع المسلمين.
والسمة المميزة لهذا البحث أننا اعتمدنا فيه على مقالة منشورة بمجلة باكستانية شهرية "أردو دائجست" سبتمبر 1985م تحت عنوان" كاندهى كى براسرار شخصيت" واستعنا أيضًا بالسيرة الذاتية- التي كتبها غاندي عن نفسه وعن أدق تفاصيل حياته الاجتماعية- وكتب أخرى لمؤلفين هنود بالإضافة إلى المؤلفين الإنجليز.
