بعد أن يقدم لنا المؤلف فصلاً تمهيدياً يوضح فيه ماهية المحاماة ودور المحامي في تحقيق العدالة، يدلف بنا إلى اسرار المرافعات العملية، بادئاً بتوضيح درجات المحاكم، ومبيناً اختصاص كل منها، وعارضاً تدريبات عملية متنوعة وشاملة، ومبدياً نصائح استقاها من خبرته الطويلة. ثم يدخل بنا إلى عالم المشاكل العملية في قانون الأسرة، فيقدم معلومات سريعة لاغنى للمحامي ولا للمثقف عنها. هذا فضلاً عن حديثه الشائق عن الهيئات القضائية المصرية، وفن المرافعة أمام القاضي الجنائي، ومبادئ الدفاع أمام المحاكم الجنائية. ثم يختم كتابه باستعراض الجنح الأكثر شيوعاً والتصالح في الأحكام الباتة، إن كل هذا الإهتمام بنقل خبرة عملية مليئة بالأمثلة الحية إلى شباب المحامين والمثقفين نادراً ما تجدها، ومن هذا النادر كان هذا الكتاب.
