هذا إلى جانب الدور الذي قامت به أجهزة الإستخبارات في كواليس السباق الرئاسي، كما تم تحليل وجهة نظر بعض الأقطاب السياسية الجزائرية بخصوص هذه الإنتخابات وتقييمها لحكم بوتفليقة طوال 15 عاماً، هذا إلى جانب التصدّي لظهور حراك شعبي بمناسبة هذه الإستحقاقات، ومحاولة الأحزاب الإستفادة منه وتوجيهه.
