ومن حقك علينا أيها القائد أن نفيك بعض حقك من العرفان، وبعض ما يتوجب علينا، فقد كافحت ونافحت عن هذا الوطن وهذه الأمة، كما فعل من قبل والدك الراحل حافظ الأسد، وفي هذا الكتاب بعض من شمائله التي هي شمائلك أيضاً، وما يستحق من تقدير، وكنت في العارفين المدركين المتمرسين بأساليب النضال وفنونه وطرقه وهبواته، وبذلك، ثقة بقيادتك، وإسترشاداً بصمودك، وتوجيهاتك، والأمثولة التي قدمت، بلغنا مع جيشنا الباسل، وشعبنا الأبي، أكثر ما نصبو إليه من نجاحات، وبدأنا تنعم بالأمن والأمان والطمأنينة إلى المصير، وجوداً هو الوجود، به نكون أو لا نكون، وقد كنا هذا الوجود، وسنكونه دائماً، بقيادتك وحكمتك وشجاعتك، وثاقب نظرتك إلى الأمور، البارز منها والمستتر، وحسن تصرفك حيالها، صموداً وبسالة لا حدَّ لهما.
