العرب هذه الأيام يهرولون للتطبيع مع إسرائيل، كان الرئيس أنور السادات قد سبقهم إلى التطبيع مع العدو الإسرائيلي بأربعين سنة.
وقعّ السادات عام 1978 أول معاهدة صلح مع الكيان الصهيوني، معاهدة نصّت على إعتراف مصر بإسرائيل، ونصّت على إقامة علاقات دبلوماسية بين الدولتين بما يشمل تبادل على مستوى السفراء، كان هذا حدثاً تاريخياً بإمتياز، وكان إنتصاراً إسراتيجياً لإسرائيل على جميع المستويات:
1-الإعتراف بالكيان الإسرائيلي كدولة لها الحق بالقيام على الأراضي الفلسطينية.
2-عزل مصر الدولة العربية الأكبر والأقوى عن الصراع العربي الإسرائيلي.
3-وقف سباق التسلح من جانب مصر فقط.
4-إفساح المجال الواسع لإستخبارات الإسرائيلية لتقوم بأعمالها في مصر وباقي الدول العربية.
