هذا الأطلس ثمرة أعمال امتدت لسنوات عديدة لجمع الوثائق من مختلف بلاد العالم وتحقيقها وتحليلها وجمعها وإخراجها في هذا الأطلس، وهو النسخة العربية من الأطلس الذي صدر باللغة الإنجليزية عام 2010 مع بعض التصرف، وهو مشروع آخر من مشاريع "هيئة أرض فلسطين".
لقد ساهم الفريق الفني في إنجاز هذا الأطلس بكفاءة ومثابرة وعلى رأسه علاء حمود وزميله في. إس. ابلاش المتخصصين في الخرائط، وساعدهم كي بلاجي، وساعدهم بالإستشارات وتجهيز النظام أحمد سعد الدين الشريف وكذلك استعنا أحياناً بشروق الخطيب وثروت زعزع.
وقامت بترجمة النص في الجزء الأول من الانجليزية إلى العربية السيدة مها بحبوح بإقتدار ودقة، ولم تحتج ترجمتها إلا إلى مراجعة وتحقيق محدودين، وفي النصوص العربية قامت بالمراجعة والتدقيق في الأسماء والنصوص السيدة أسماء سمير محمد المهدي، وقام عبد الله سمير فؤاد بالعمل الدؤوب لتجهيز 60.000 إسماً في الفهرس، وهو عمل مرهق يحتاج إلى عناية فائقة، وكانت هناك حاجة لمراجعة نطق وتهجئة الأسماء لدى أهالي القرى أنفسهم، فساعدنا في ذلك مؤلف الموسوعات الفلسطينية حسين اللوباني.
كما ساهم في ذلك في فترات مختلفة محدودة فايز فردة وعبد الكريم الحشاش ونبيل السهلي، وكانت كتب القرى التي ألفها أهلها المرجع الهام للتحقق من أسماء الأماكن، فإستعنا بعشرات منها.
