في هذه الرسالة الصغيرة، سطر الكاتب الفلسطيني المقدسي: الدكتور إسحاق موسى الحسيني-رحمه الله-فصولاً قيمة ممتعة عن مدينة القدس، مدينة الإسراء والمعراج، وثالث المدن الأثيرة إلى قلب كل مسلم. المدينة العربية منذ فجر التاريخ، وإلى يوم الناس هذا، رغم ما يخطط لها المكر اليهودي الصهيوني.
لم يكتب للقراء كلاماً إنشائياً، ولا خطباً حماسية، إنما كتب لهم كلاماً منطقياً، وسرد لهم حقائق يؤيدها التاريخ والواقع، ويؤيدها الدين والأخلاق والعدالة والحكمة الإنسانية. تحدث عن عروبة القدس منذ فجر تاريخها المدون، وبرهن على أنها عربية المولد والنشأة والتاريخ، بل والمصير إن شاء الله عز وجل.
وتحدث عن أسمائها الكثيرة-وكثرة الأسماء تدل على شرف المسمى-وأظهر أن الأسم الذي تعلق به اليهود من أسمائها وهو (أورشليم)، ما هو إلا اسم عربي قديم أطلق عليها قبل أن يفد إليها أجدادهم الأوائل من بني إسرائيل، وبين أن اسمها الخالد الذي عرفت به ولا تزال هو (القدس).
وكتب الدكتور الحسيني فصلين في آثارها الإسلامية التي ازدانت بها، والتي انتشرت في ربوعها، وغصت بها جنباتها، حتى غدت مدينة إسلامية عريقة. ثم ختم المؤلف رسالته بفصلين ممتعين عن مكانة هذه المدينة المباركة في الإسلام، وعن فضائلها الكثيرة المدونة في كتب المسلمين. ولم ينس المؤلف أن يتحدث عن المصير الذي ينتظر هذه المدينة الحزينة، وعن المكر الذي يخطط لها، فقد ذكر في مبحثه الخامس مطامع اليهود فيها، وذكر أشياء مما رآه من إفسادهم بعد إتمام احتلالهم لها في عام 1967م.
