يرتكز هذا الكتاب على قوله تعالى: "ونزلنا عليك الكتب تبياناً لكل شيءٍ وهدىً ورحمةً وبشرى للمسلمين، [النحل: 89]. وبهذا المعنى فالقرآن الكريم هو دستور للحياة ومنهاج المسلمين والمصدر الأول للتشريع الإسلامي، فلا بد وأن يُعنى به أهله في شتى المجالات ليكون مصداقاً للآية السالفة الذكر، ويكون ذلك بمداومة قراءته، بتدبره وتأمله وتفسيره ... من هنا انبثقت فكرة مؤلف الكتاب الأستاذ "إبراهيم حسن" بشحذ أكبر قدر من المعلومات القصيرة والميسرة وبطرق متنوعة وتحتوي على علوم القرآن المختلفة وبطريقتين إما عن طريق (المسابقات) وإما عن طريق (المعارف القرآنية)، والتي لا بد لأي قارىء أو متعلم أن يستفيد منها، ولتكون في متناوله أينما حل. أما الهدف النهائي للكتاب فهو 1- العرّف على أكبر قدر ممكن من المعلومات القرآنية، 2- الربط بين القرآن وأهل البيت عليهم السلام، 3- حفظ ىيات القرآن الكريم بطريق مباشر وغير مباشر، 4- شغل الأوقات بما يفيد.
لأجل ذلك تم للمؤلف تقسيم مواد الكتاب إلى ثمانية أبواب جاءت على شكل مسابقات وأسئلة وأجوبة تؤدي الغرض مثال على ذلك: - من هم الأنبياء الذين جاءوا بشرائح ناسخة لمن تقدمهم – الجواب – (أولي العزم) ، - من سور القرآن الكريم سورة بدأت بالتحميد وعدد آياتها (45) آية – الجواب – (فاطر) – عرف بآي من القرآن: إن عدة الشهور عند الله "اثنا عشر شهراً في كتب الله يوم خلق السموات والأرض منها أربعة حرمٌ" – الجواب – [التوبة: 36] . وغيرها من موضوعات ذات صلة بطرح الكتاب يختبر بها المؤمنون مدى معرفتهم بدينهم وبكتاب الله ويسدون بها ثغرة التقصير بمعرفة علم الله ومنهاجه والمصدر الأول للتشريع ودستور المسلمين "القرآن الكريم"، وعليه احتوى هذا الكتاب (5200 سؤال وفترة في مسابقات ومعارف قرآنية) وهو العنوان الذي تختاره مؤلف الكتاب.
