إذن دراسة سيرتها الشخصية تعني التعرف على حياة مكة قبل البعثة حتى نستطيع أن نحدد تأثير المجتمع في شخصيتها، ثم دراسة التيارات السائدة في ذلك المجتمع وتأثيرها فيه وعلاقتها بالرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم وزواجها منه وهذه مرحلة طويلة من التأثير المتبادل.
وهذا يقودنا إلى دراسة شاملة عن المجتمع سواء قبل الإسلام أم بعده.
