في الجزء الثاني من "أوراق منصور سلطان الأطرش" تجمع الدكتورة "ريم منصور الأطرش" مجموعة مقالات ورسائل خطها والدها بقلمه وحوارات صحفية أجريبت معه في ما يتعلق بأزمة العراق.
يعد منصور سلطان الأطرش من البعثيين القدامى الذين تنادوا لتشكيل اللجنة العربية السورية لرفع الحصار عن العراق في العام 2000 وذلك انطلاقاً من حسٍ قومي وانتماءٍ لا يتزعزع، وايماناً بوحدة المصير العربي والأهم من ذلك كله التأكيد على أهمية العراق عربياً وإقليمياً ودفاعاً عن العراق أرضاً واحدة وسكاناً وثروات.
لقد كتب الأطرش المقالة تلو الأخرى ونشر الكثير في الصحف والمواقع الإلكترونية قبيل وفاته وعلى رأسها موقع لجان نصرة العراق العربية السورية والذي ساهم بشكل فعّال في تأسيسها. وهذا الكتاب يضم مجموع هذه المقالات وغيرها مما كتب الأطرش في سبيل العراق يستشرف بها المستقبل وتحمل رؤيا مفكر عربي للتاريخ الماضي والحاضر معاً، يقول الأطرش: " ... وإذا كانت الدوافع العربية لإقامة أمة هي من فعل البشر فإن الإسلام هو من عند الله، وما أتى به القرآن يجب أن يكون قولاً مصدقاً ومعمولاً به. فإذا شككنا في عجز العقل العربي أن يرى الأسباب الصحيحة لبناء أمة واحدة فكيف نشكّك في قول الكتاب ؟ ...".
