هذا الكتاب "معبد النعم ومبيد النقم" لتاج الدين السبكى، وهو كتاب فريد فى بابه، لم نجد له مثيلاً لا فى القديم ولا فى الحديث.
فالتاج السبكى حاول فيه معالجة العلاقة بين العبد وربه، وكيف أن هذا الرب المنعم الذى بيده مقاليد الأمور يجب على العبد أن يتوجه له بالشكر على نعمه السابغة.
وقد حاول السبكى أن يظهر لنا أن الله من النعم ما قديخفى على كثير من الناس؛ حيث يظنون أن النعم محصورة -مثلاً- فى المال والجاه والسلطان، ولكن السبكى لفت انتباهنا -وبقوة- إلى أن العبد عليه أن يتفكر فى أحواله ويتحسس يد الله عليه فى كل شئ، فكل عبد علا شأنه فى أنعم الله.
نعم، هناك من تحدث عن النعم وشكرها، وكيفية المحافظة عليها، ولكن التاج السبكى أجاد فى ضرب الأمثلة التى ربت على المائة، والتى على غزير علمه. وهذا الكتاب وصفة من السبكى يحاول من خلالها أن يعبد الناس لله رب العالمين، وذلك من خلال استشعار العبد لنعم الله عليه، وأن يعلم أن دوامها لا يكون إلا بتأدية حق شكرها، وأن زوالها لا يكون إلا بتقصيره فى ذلك الحق.
