يبدو المجاز وكأنه الحكاية الإطار، دون أيإطار سوى إطار المجاز ذاته، تمامًا مثلما هو في الحكاية الإطار. المجاز إذًا قوة جبارة، طاقة قادرة على القتل وقتل القتل. كما يبدو أيضًا أن للمجاز ارتباطه الحميم بالليل، وكأن النهار يقتله أو على الأقل يقمعه، هذا ما يشي به عنوان "الليالي"، وما يصرّح ويشي به خطاب ابن دريد وابن وهب عن التقية، عن التخفي، فضلاً عن نصوص أخرى كثيرة تحكي عن المجاز والليل، وكأن المجاز زمن للحضور في الغياب، في الليالي الليل زمن للبوح، لانطلاق الرغبات، أم الصباح فزمن لموت الكلام وموت الحكي، زمن للحقائق الشمسية، لا للمجازات.
لكن دعونا نسأل: هل كل مجاز يحوي حكايته الإطار، يحمل شمسه ويخفيها؟ إنها إشكالية أخرى من إشكاليات المجاز، ربما كانت هي الدافع اللا واعي وراء الرغبة في قتل المجاز، الرغبة في النهار، في الشمس والإطار، إلا أن اللافت أن الحكاية الإطار ذاتها لها أكثر من إطار: إطار شاه زمان، وإطار شهريار، وإطار العفريت وعروسه، فالإطار لم يكن قط واحدًا، حتى داخل الحكاية الواحدة، وما من إطار سوى تحوّل الحكي، إذ مهما بدا متماثلاً، فثمة دومًا اختلاف.
