أدارت أكثر من ثلاثين حكومة شؤون إسرائيل منذ إنشائها عام 1948م حتى الآن (عام 2013م)، وقد مثل هذه الحكومات ما يزيد على عشرة رؤساء وزراء؛ كان بن جوريون (أو بن غوريون) أولهم وأطولهم حكمًا، فقد تولى رئاسة الحكومة تسع مرات؛ بدأت الأولى بقيام دولة إسرائيل في سنة 1948م وانتهت التاسعة في 26/6/1963م؛ حيث كرس حياته للصهيونية، فهو صاحب تسمية الدولة العبرية باسم إسرائيل، وكان من المؤسسين الأوائل لها، وقاد قوات الدفاع الإسرائيلية في حرب 1948م، ووقعت في عهده أحداث مهمة كان لها تأثير كبير في القضية الفلسطينية، منها: حرب 1948م التي فرضت وجود إسرائيل، وموجات من الهجرة اليهودية لم يسبق لها مثيل، وازدياد أعداد المستوطنات اليهودية، وشن الحرب مع فرنسا وبريطانيا على مصر عام 1956م، كما كان له دور كبير في إقامة المفاعل النووي الإسرائيلي.
ونحن إذ نلقي الضوء على هذه الشخصية فليس المقصد من ذلك إعلاء شأنها، بل لندرس ونعي ونفهم كيف وصلت هذه الدولة إلى ما وصلت إليه، وكيف أنها دولة مغتصبة لحقوق الأمة العربية، وأنها دولة لقيطة قامت على سفك الدماء ونشر الفساد من دعارة ومخدرات وغير ذلك من الأسلحة التي استخدمتها كي تصل إلى ما وصلت إليه.. وكيف ساعدها الغرب وأمريكا في الوصول إلى مطامعها، وفي هذا الكتاب، يتناول المؤلف شخصية اليهودي الصهيوني ديفيد بن جوريون ومشواره السياسي، ونشاطه الكبير في إقامة دولة إسرائيل والدفاع عنها، ودوره في الحروب التي قامت بين إسرائيل والعرب، وما كان خلال حياته من أحداث جسام كان لها عظيم الأثر على فلسطين ومصر والمنطقة العربية بأثرها.
